Something I thought people might want to do...
On toriamos, which I won't join due to its high levels of batshittery, Tori fans have been doing a sort of rating thing with the songs, grouping them according to how much they like/dislike them; 5 is 'OMG wow this is amazingly brilliant', 4 is 'pretty great', 3 is 'good', 2 is 'OK', 1 is 'boring/meh/not keen' and 0 is 'DO NOT WANT'. Here's the Space equivalent.

5 - Avenging Angels, Danger, Fran In Japan, Gravity, I Am Unlike A Lifeform You've Ever Met, Influenza, Neighbourhood, Only Half An Angel, Theme From Baretta Vendetta

4 - The Ballad Of Tom Jones, Begin Again, Cameraman, Charlie M, Children Of The Night, Despise, Disco Dolly, Dopamine, Drop Dead, Female Of The Species, Had Enough, Hell Of A Girl, Hell's Barbecue, Me & You Vs The World, More Than A Friend, Mr Psycho, No One Understands, Now She's Gone, Piggies, Radio Hell, Sex In The Street, Single Bed, Spiders, Stress Transmissions, Sunny Afternoon, Supersonic Jetplane, Take A Walk, Turn Me On To Spiders, Unluckiest Man In The World, Zombies

3 - 20 Million Miles From Earth, Bad Days, Blow Your Cover, Dark Clouds, Diary Of A Wimp, The English Language Let Me Down, Evil Eye, Good Times, Growler, Happy Endings, Juno 54, Kill Me, Looney Tunes, Lost In Space, Lovechild Of The Queen, Mad Dogs & Englishmen, The Man, Money, Mr Jones, One O'Clock, Only The Rats, Paranoid 16, Psychotic Girl, Punk Rock Funeral, Quiet Beach, Raymond, Sexual Stereo, The Shit You Talk Is Beautiful, Spooky Bitch, Suburban Rock 'n' Roll, Voodoo Roller, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Why Can't We Turn On The Lights?, Year Of The Underdog, Yes You Do

2 - Crisis, Everybody In The Madhouse, The Goodbye Song, Hitch-Hiking, I'm Free, If It's Real, A Liddle Biddy Help From Elvis, Lava Flow, Life Of A Miser, Major Pager, Nothing To Find Her, No-One's Going To Steal My Love, Numb The Doubt, Pretty Suicide, Thank You

1 - Anaesthetised, Bastard Me Bastard You, Be There, If I Ever, Love You More Than Football, Play Those Songs, Rejects, Straight Line, There's No You, Voices, You Romantic Fool

0 - Give Me Something, Now I'm History, Shut Your Mouth

So what's yours?

Space videos on YouTube.
The lovely punkrockfuneral has put all the Space videos up to Diary Of A Wimp on YouTube for your viewing pleasure.
Female Of The Species
Me & You Vs The World
Dark Clouds
Avenging Angels
The Ballad Of Tom Jones
Begin Again
We Gotta Get Out Of This Place
Diary Of A Wimp
G-d, Tommy's teeth in the Neighbourhood video are horrible. As is Franny's hair in the early ones. The Begin Again and Avenging Angels videos are boss, though. It's cool to see how they've gone from scallies to classy.

SPACETHEBAND.COM IS UP AND RUNNING AGAIN. Yes, the original site, the one done by Pab and Donna - despite their fall-out with Yorkie, they had a change of heart and put the site back up! Everything is there - the old Jukebox Babies, the interviews, the photos, the Music For Aliens, even the old archived guestbook. Including the ones from 2003. Whoop de woo.
If you haven't already joined, clicketh this link. If you joined before the site closed down, so that includes Chloe, Robbie, Lindz, Chantal, Neil, Katy and Billy, you can still access yr old account, you don't need to re-register.

OK, I know this is incredibly sad...
...but I'm working on a Space tribute album at the moment. So far the songs I've got are:
From Spiders
Female Of The Species
No One Understands
From Tin Planet
Begin Again
Avenging Angels
The Ballad Of Tom Jones
One O'Clock
Unluckiest Man In The World
From Love You More Than Football
Diary Of A Wimp
From Suburban Rock 'n' Roll
Hell's Barbecue
Only Half An Angel
I Am Unlike A Lifeform You've Ever Met
Take A Walk
There's three more songs to go, any suggestions? I've already picked the band members' favourites (Spiders for Tommy, One O'Clock for Jamie, Money for Franny, Unluckiest Man for Leon and Begin Again for Yorkie).

Lotte - kol ha'olam kulo gesher tzar me'od v'ha-ikar lo l'facheyd k'lal says:
hence lack of activity on the lj community
I found my smile eww ugly smile says:
mm its sucks
I found my smile eww ugly smile says:
i think we should send them a message and boycott posting on the board til they update the news page and tell us something

What do you think? Are we being too harsh? I'd appreciate some feedback on this. The site URL is in the community userinfo, it is never updated with news, and frankly that sucks. And Yorkie and Franny - the two members who post on the board - have been really quiet lately.

A lot of people on the official site have been saying that Space might split. Arse feck wank. I'm sure they're probably being a bit paranoid cos Yorkie and Franny haven't posted in aaaaages, but I do worry at times that it might happen. For one thing Yorkie and Franny are doing solo stuff, in fact Yorkie's done quite a bit of stuff outside the band, and that's generally a sign that the band are growing apart! I mean fucking hell the lads have been together for at least 12 years and they've been through a hell of a lot...but have they had their day? Or is it just speculation?
PS Can any of you design banners for this community so we can whore ourselves in other communities?

20)Have you ever done any embarrassing Space fan type things? I haven't sold my suburban rock n roll 7" even tho I have no vinyl player :) plus I watched the site for about 2 years before joining the message board because I'm that shy lol. So in theory I'm practically old school!
